A short blog indeed

On Thursday April 26 Jim offered me 20 hours of contract work in which I would focus on two separate projects currently under Jim's direction.

On Monday April 30, 2007 I was offered 2 12-hour shifts by Cal and Melinda as a GFC Analyst.

So this blog created to chronicle the difficulty that is a job search for a reason college graduate is no longer necessary. While it is true both jobs are short term with the likelihood of being extended rather than a full time position with benefits, it is far better a job than I could have hoped for.

My New Apartment

Yesterday I signed a least. A twelve month lease. For an apartment at 1500 Massachusetts Ave. The rent is $995 with utilities included. I will move in semi-permanently tomorrow (I will sleep here on Tuesday nights since I will still have to work at borders). I am looking forward to this. And quite afraid about the whole job search thing.

This blog goes from semi-official to official come May 5 (or maybe I will start from the new apartment when I get cable next Friday).

Progress

The foreseeable future now includes a no-fee-if-you-break-lease 12-month lease here in the district of columbia.

My parents were here for the weekend and they helped me look for apartments. The first one we looked at was perfect. It was the right price, the room was being done over again with all new things. It's one out of two HUGE things and one out of three large things.

HUGE things:
1.)Apartment
2.)Job

Large Things:
1.)Apartment
2.)Job
3.)Friends in D.C.

Not Quite Yet/Six Weeks

There are less than six weeks before I am unemployed. There will be a three or four week gap between the end of the internship and official graduation from college.

This blog starts sometime between May 4 and May 20. It will continue until I get a job, or the foreseeable future.

This is a semi-official preview.
